View Full Version : CPU mag
Anyway, I was out this morning getting the Sunday paper (*cough*...twelve-pack...*cough*) when I saw a magazine on the stand entitled CPU - Computer Power Users. It had columns written by Anand, Sharkey whatshisface, and Kyle Bennet. $7 USD !!!

Now why TF would I spend $7 on a magazine with the same crap I get on the web for free? Any thoughts?

$7 my ass, that is just ridiculous... They should pay me $7 per article if they want me to read them.
Yes and I think 20/20 should investigate...the people need to be informed...<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif"border=0>
Haha, well that mag is something you can bring to the bath room! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Hmm... I never heard Anand or Kyle (you know Kyle would...) boasting they write for a acutal pulication, I wonder if they even know about it!

I didn't even open the magazine. It just said on the cover that it had columns written by those people.

Here:

I did a quick google search. I think you can make out the first three columnist names.

Edit: Ack!!! No HTML? Well then, resize yourself...
Wow! That's quite interesting to say the least... I really do wonder if they know their articles are in that.

Never heard of CPU here in Canada myself, is that a new magazine down there in the US?
I have no idea. Just because I found it on the shelf does not mean it's the next National Geographic. I've never heard of it before, and we have a lot of very obscure magazines in the US. Maybe somebody else has more input.
Well, I looked them up, it does look legit... Unfortunately this magazine is not sold here in Canada... =(

Still, I thought they would have a better web site!
Yikes!!!

Thanks for the linky, Colon, that was craptacular!!! Christ, they should've had me do their website!
Haha... Yeah that link was hilarious eh? Geez, with all that "writing talent" I'd expect them to draw enough of an audience to have a better site! =)
Oh btw CHE, I found that magzine in a local coffee shop here in Toronto...

It is legit. However the magzine is rather bland, the info is quite old! =(
