View Full Version : My all time favorite board... [56k WARNING!]
Ya, I love the 8KHA+ as well... I got so spoiled with the Port80 card I actually bought the 8K3A+ instead of the 8K3A just for the por 80! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>
I loved this board right from the beginning... The Iwill KK266-R was the best KT133A overclocking board ever no one could match it. 170 MHz+ FSB's! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif"border=0>

It was so fast that I wasn't even interested in DDR! Well not till the KT266A came out anyway.

Not just that the board was just designed so well. Look at the IDE's! They're in the perfect location! Lots of room near the CPU socket, sure you have to remove the videocard to get at the memory, but that's the price you pay for 6 PCI's. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

Hehe... What brought this up? Well I got the board back from a friend who was using it for the a while and I just got all sentimental... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

I love you KK266-R!!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

AHA!!!

I knew you weren't going to actually build a system with it <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

Um... I have always been partial to MSI boards of all kinds... my current one is my KT266A...

My experience with MSI has been uniformly positive, especially in terms of board stability. I have noticed though, from working in a computer store, that MSI boards do more than their fair share of RMAs... though to be fair this seemed to be limited to only a couple of the models that I saw.
frustrated_teccy ya I'm gonna use it to build a system... Hey, I just got sentimental, it's been a long time! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

I like MSI products, they're always excellent value's however I find they're not as fast as others. LOL, you know me man all I want is speed! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>
I'm partial to my Epox 8KHA+... probably because this is my first PERFORMANCE board.. I waited for this diamond in the rough for a while! hehe.. I'm much happier with this mobo than the crappy old Shuttle mobo I had in my old P133 based system! lol.. I'm very glad that the Epox 8KHA+ is still able to hold up to the best computing solutions today!
