Nice work on the 3DMark, Parachute! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Is that new memory in your sig yet, I can't tell for sure <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> Congratulations, you deserve it.

Thanx!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

I'll use the Crucial memory for my server. It's currently running with 256MB, so it could use some extra juice.

Oh, and my AthlonXP. I want to unlock it, but it's not one of those easy unlocks. Because I have to OPEN a L10 bridge (I think), it's a kind of complex. And my temp is over 120F stressed...

Parachute nice score man! =)

Share some tweaks dude!

Can't you boost your Leadtek Ti4600 any higher? That thing has awesome cooling man! Gawd I wish I had that type of memory.

If you're interested in unlocking your XP2100+, you'll like this article. But remember if you screw up, it's your own fault! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

Tweaks?? Well:
-Most agressiev mem timings

-Via 4in1

-Det 28.90. (increased score by 150 compared to 27.70)

-N-Sync off.
Thanx for the article. I saw it just after it was posted 2 months ago. I think I'll try unlocking the XP this weekend and I'll post my results in the CPU's and Cooling section. However, I'll try to use a knife instead of a dremel <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

About the Ti4600, I increased the core and mem to 320 and 735. However, I had to use a 133FSB for stability.

Parachute hwo do you like the newer 29.xx drivers? I find the 29.40's pretty fast myself. Were you successful in unlocking your CPU?

CygnusX1. nice score dude! Is your card a Retail or OEM?

thx....#1 for exact cpu speed...i still have some room to oc on the vid card, and the cpu was running @ default frequency...gonna install the h2o setup (i'm leak testing right now) this weekend, and see what kind of oc i can get on the cpu.

its a retail..sent to me from ati for review...i am now officially a fanATIc...they wooed me away from nvidia...i am drooling at the r300, and cant wait till it comes out.

Colin

Ya, you got a lot of room... 290/290 isn't very high at all most retail Radeon 8500's I've played with do at least 300/300... Did you do the pencil trick on it yet?

Hey which site do you write for? Haha, ya that R300 looks very promising... I can't wait to play with one myself! Then again I'm also looking forward to the nv30, it'll be the first videocard taht will have 3dfx technology!

I use to be a huge 3dfx pimp.

no mods to the card yet...going with blorb on the gpu, and custom blue sinks on the mem...have to play with one of them since it is hitting the ddr mem hold down on the mobo...ive hit 300/300 but i want to get my cpu/mem tweaked first before i ramp the card back up again..

right now i am in limbo...just had a baby so i took some time off (yeah right!!) fro the grind of working on a site...i write for thinktechie.com, but i don't think i am going back ther too soon..they need to get their ************************ together...i have written for rizenet, and atlantaoc.com in the past, and will be submitting some stuff to systemcooling.com (if you havent checked them out yet, its gonna be a GREAT site...it's run by bob dyl (cooling guru!! written for amdmb), and scott mikules (from ipkonfig)...

Colin

Forget the blorb, go with the Crystal orb, it's a LOT BETTER! Serious dude! Ya memory heatsinks would help out but I find I can usually only get like 5 MHz higher.

Congrat's on your kid dude!

Ya I know all those sites since I post our news. Ya, SystemCooling is a good site. I don't reallyl talk to the other webmasters though.

So you like writing reviews?

i have the blorb layin around from my gf2...from what i've seen, the gpu is not the limiting factor on the 8500...i wish i could find a good watercooling solution for the mem chips for it...i will probably try running the 8500 gpu/mem async and really crank on the mem to see what kind of performance i get...

yeah...i love it...i have some brewwing right now...some hardware, some mods, some guides...have the pics, and the words in my head, just need the 2-3 hours each, uninterupted (thats the hard part right now!! ) , to get them down...i really enjoy it though...my wife thinks differently though...lol

Colin
06-15-04, 01:25 PM
Oh, ok in that case it's different! If you do that, take some pics and let us look at your beauty! =)

LOL, I know how you feel man, my folks and gf think I spend too much time on my computer as well... I'm gonna be watercooling+TEC my test rig very soon hopefully it'll allow me to crack 2 GHz wtih an AthlonXP!
