View Full Version : Frosty GeForce 4 Ti4600 TEC cooling
Ya it is, we're hoping that with the new cooler installed we can hit a core speed of 350 MHz. We'll probably volt mod the thing as well.

We were going to do a live test today but after fitting the MSI GF4Ti4600 with the heatsink we encountered some problems and had to make a minor change to the screws used to hold the copper in place.

Overclocking the MSI GeForce 4 Ti4600 to 346MHz core / 660MHz memory brought the temperature up to about 14.5-15.5 degrees Celsius which is still very nice indeed as we ran through the benchmarks. Since we ran the Athlon XP 1700+ at stock speeds, and didn't overclock the memory in any of the tests we are looking at a pure core overclock of 46MHz which netted us a new 3Dmark score of 10,786.

That's an overclocked Geforce 4 Ti4600 running at a core speed of 346MHz (previous high was 325MHz with standard cooling) with a temperature of just 15.5 degrees Celsius.

not too shabby for the little GF4TEC!
Max
Hopefully with that baby I can break 14k in 3DMark!!!

Wish me luck!

I dunno if the world really ought to have an overclocker with a score of 14000 - some things were just not meant to be broken
hehehe
Max
LOL! You don't have faith?

Actually macci is almost at 16k! But I doubt this MSI GF4 Ti4600 will do 400 MHz core even with a voltage mod. I think his non modded Ti4600 did like 340 with stock cooling or something.
