Has anyone had any experience overclocking a soyo board? I have heard that it is easy, and know a guy who has done it but I am looking for a second opinion. It looks easy enough in the bios. Also what is the best way to unlock a XP CPU? Any help would be appretiated.

i havent played w/ the soyo yet, but it will be the same as overclokcing any other board..set you mem timings more agressively, increase your fsb, then when you have your cpu unlocked rais or lower the multiplier accordingly (lower if you want an overall increase in system fsb, higher if you just want to clock the hell out of your cpu). so far the best method i have seen to unlock an xp is to fill the pits with a crayon (no the heat doenst melt the wax) then connect the bridges with rear window defogger (available at most auto parts stores). the best part is that this method is totally reversable.
Ya, like CygnusX1 says overclocking in general is the same... Is your processor unlocked yet? If not you can only increase your FSB. To stabilize your CPU, memory and motherboard at high speeds, you might have to raise the voltages... You have good cooling so you shouldn't hvae any problems with heat. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
