Hey all. I'm pretty sure the reason why my computer locks up with my geforce 4 ti 4600 in it is because my power supply doesnt supply a clean enough current to my vid card. So, it looks like i am now going to have to purchase a new power supply. I want to get a real good brand that is sure to work. I heard Enermax are really good, but also sparkle. I went to enermax's site and took a look around. They have a lot of models and to tell you the truth i cant tell the difference between one or the other, other than their different wattage. I also went to sparkles website to do some research and found myself in the same boat.

Anyone have any suggestions? i dont care about price, I'll spend the money. I just want something that will power my system. So im going to list off what i have in my system and hopefully you guys can recommend something for me that will work.

Athlon XP 2100+
Swiftech MCX420 cpu fan (model number might be wrong.. its the newest one.. the real big one )
2 vantec tornado fans.. one is 84 cfm one is 100cfm
5 thermaltake smartfans
Matrix Orbital LK204-25-PC 20x4 LCD screen
Gigabyte Ga-7vrxp motherboard with onboard raid, sound, lan, dual bios
Asus V8460 geforce 4 ti 4600
Soundblaster Audigy MP3+
Scsi board (adaptec i think?)
2x512 mb OCSystem Expeditious Gamer ddr333 ram
2x western digital hard drives.
20GB
100GB
lite-on 32x cd burner
lite-on 16x dvdrom

and then of course i have a couple usb devices like:
hammerhead FX game pad
Intel web cam
Creative Labs nomad Jukebox
Microsoft Intelimouse Explorer 3.0 Wireless
Logitech wireless keyboard

And thats about it.

I was looking on the enermax site and i saw this power supply...:

http://www.maxpoint.com/switching_power_supplies_eg365_465ax_ve_gw_fma.htm

and it looks good, but i dont know the difference between that one and :

http://www.maxpoint.com/switching_power_supplies_365_465.htm

This one. I know the one in the first link up there is an "Active PFS Series" where the other isnt. What does PFS mean?????
Also, i noticed the top one is a bit more expensive.... so im guessing it has more features? some of the numbers are higher when comparing the stats but then some are lower..
Are the extra features or whatever really necessary? Is one of the other power supplies better or more worth it for me to buy in the long run? Also, what is a redundant power supply?

Also, whats the difference between ATX 2.01, ATX 2.03 and ATX 12V??? I see them both on Enermax's site and on Sparkles.

The Sparkle power supplies im lookin at are :

http://www.sparklepower.com/pdf/FSP400-60PFN(12V).pdf
http://www.sparklepower.com/pdf/FSP400-60GN.pdf

and

http://www.sparklepower.com/pdf/FSP460-60PFN.pdf

So if you guys could make some recommendations to me i would greatly appreciate it. Even if its a completely different power supply that you think would better suit my needs that would be great. If you think its worth it to go with a larger power supply to make future upgrades more possible with less trouble then ill do that also. Though i dont wanna spend a truck load of money, my philosophy is to spend what you need to get a quality product that will live a good life and.. well you get the point. Im willing to spend the money and am not looking for budget hardware.

Thanks,
Asphix
