where can i find the options that will let me block icq from starting up for all users on my comp. and also it doesn't start up automaticaly but i can start it up when i want to?
I am interested in the same thing.

I have looked in the "startup" folder for all users, I even have a program that does this.
Even though ICQ doesn't start up, whenever I log in as Guest in my Windows XP machine there is a dialog box saying "ICQ might not work properly with the privileges I have".

Does anyone know whats causing this?

dont know about the user question... but to stop things from running when you start your computer go here in the registry:

localmachine->software->microsoft->windows->currentversion->run

then delete the key for ICQ

I think you can do it from MSconfig as well.

Yeah... theres an option in ICQ to make it not start up when you start your computer up... Goto main, then preferances, and then miscellence and theres a check for it.
Thanx all, it must have been an oversight on my part,
I swore I had disabled ICQ from starting up before logging in as GUEST.

I guess I didn't.
