Hey, thanks! So, tell me... what's the best way to get your performance up? If there's more than one.... bring it on! lol

My computer now scores 6689 points on the 3dmark 2001 SE benchmark. I need more! MORE! lol.

6689 in 3D Mark seems a little low on a Ti4600 unless you have it running at a high resoultion, frequency and have 4x anti-alaising. Try overclocking your graphics card - not that a Ti4600 needs to be overclocked

My Ti4200 comes in stock with a 3DMark of over 8800. Yours sounds way low. I have been able to get 9000 overclocked to 300/540, which I think is lower than the Ti 4600 stock.

Yeah, I just upgraded to Windows XP Home edition and it seems to run the system quicker, but the benchmarks got a good bit lower. I had two benchmarks before XP... one under 98SE and that was a 9964. The second one was under ME and it went down to 8860. I've done two benchmarks under XP and the 1st one was the 6689.... the second one was 2384. Not good at all. The only difference between the two XP tests was that I installed Tweak XP v1.33 and used that to, what it called, "optimize the CPU, memory, and cache. I didn't tell it to do anything to the videocard because I felt it was good where it was... for now...

Try to set the L2 cache in the regedit. The instrucions are in Colin's tips. Is your AGP slot adjustable? (2x,4x) What is it set at in your BIOS.

I have set my L2 cache according to what Colin has said and that did speed it up a lot, but I just did a benchmark after reverting to before Iinstalled TweakXP and it just did a 6608 that time.... I dunno what's the problem... I didn't check the AGP setting yet, but I'm almost certian that it's set to 4x.... that's just another thing to check on.

I'm thankful you guys are willing to give me ideas to fuel my need for speed.

Keep 'em commin'! lol
