Hey, I was just inside my comp and noticed that the video card is built right into the mother board, and i was wonder how do you upgrade the video card in it, would i just put it in one of the AGP slots and pulg my monitor into that or is there something special?

what brand and model # is your mobo? you may have to set a jumper or disable the onboard video
in the BIOS setup.
If it is a jumperless board it should autodetect the AGP slot being used.
but you may have to go through bios to set the AGP to enable or disable as well.

<< one of the AGP slots >>

there will only be one.. if you have one that is. It'll be a brown socket set above and slightly further back from the white PCI slots.

if you have an AGP slot, there are no good PCI video cards. the AGP runs at twice the speed
of the PCI, and it is connected directly to the CPU.
You can get VooDoo 4 PCI which aren't badd but I would recomment getting an AGP as they are much better.
