I have WinXP Pro on my computer and need to install NT4 to run some earlier software that I can't even load under XP. I can use either Win98 or NT4 but want to have access to my NTFS files that NT4 should allow. MS says its not a good idea to load XP and NT4 due to NTFS compatibility, even if each OS is loaded on a different partition and I upgrade NT4 to SP5. On a dualboot system MS says NT4 is to be installedd before XP (I think it said NT should use the system partition; C: drive). Anyway, like I said, XP pro is already loaded on C: and now I want to load NT4 on the D: drive. But I'm very worried adding NT4 cause it may screw up my XP system. Yeah, I know about having to replace the Ntldr and Ntdetect.com files when NT4 is installed "after" XP, but has anyone actually installed NT4 into an exisitng XP pro system? What problems did you encounter and how well did XP and NT4 function thereafter.<BR>Thanks in Advance.
