<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0"> I fancy one of these (latest ones have triple-lug clips) with it's standard fan,for my Athlon 1800XP. <BR>Does anyone have an opinion,and would it suffice for a 2200XP as well? <BR>Any better suggestions (no more expensive!) would also be appreciated.Thanks <BR>P.S. I've seen a couple of references to shims around the chip core - are these usual,and don't they tend to impede the shield/core face contact? (you can always spot a newbie!)

Welcome, auld.&nbsp; I personally like my coolermaster HHC-001 with the "heat pipe" design.&nbsp; It dropped my cpu temp a good 10deg C from the "recommended" aluminum heatsink.
