Everytime I try to watch a movie that is .avi I get an error. I have tried Media Player(default), WinDVD, PowerDVD, and ATI file player and all of them give an error. What do you guys use to watch or play avi files?

DX50 needed when I try to use WMP9. I found a MPEG4 Codec last night off of Grokster but that did no good. Right now this is a little baby problem compared to the issue Iam having with the computer but thinks for responding Nasty. The funny thing about you mentioning porn is that I have no problem playing porn..it is just movies like Red Dragon Austin Powers 3.

i use WMP 8. no problems playing anything. have you ever downloaded/installed the Nimo Codec Pack? has all you will need.

also, you shouldn't expect WMP 9 to play anything correctly. that beta POS is buggy as all hell. and once it's installed, you are f|_|cked. no true uninstall available. you will be stuck that way until it goes gold/is released. sorry, wish i had a better answer for that one.

get Nimo Codec Pack from here.
