I have a Radeon 7500 (as the title and sig suggest), and it crashes a lot in several games, including Unreal Tournament (with D3D), Half-Life, and SimCity 3000. I am using the Catalyst 4.13.01.9062 driver. Sometimes the screen goes blank for about half a second. Any way I could solve this problem, or if I get a new video card (like a Radeon 9000) will it work?

I had a 7500 at one time and I ran into some problems with it but nothing like that. My problems where when I had the TV hooked up to the card and watched a DVD it skipped frames pretty badly and no driver I installed on it would fix the problem so I don't know if it was the core was too slow or what. I use a 9000 Pro by SapphireTech and it works great. 1 thing I can think of is have you tried to remove your display drivers after downloading the newest one, restart, then if your system autodetects let it detect the download file to see if that fixes it.

nevermind it works now. I did a fresh install of Windows and the latest drivers (that WAS the problem!) Thanks
