ATI Radeon 9900 Pro

Found this over at warp2search.net:<BR><BR>THE INQUIRER has received several tips recently regarding ATI's R350 and RV350. The first reiterates that ATI's R350 is being built on a 0.15 micron process. ATI's RV350 mainstream part is however being built on a 0.13 micron process. What is new is that both the R350 and the RV350 have already taped out with their production partner TSMC, which did not do quite as good a job with their friend Nvidia.<BR><BR>God I hope this is true!!!

The Nvidia fx is much better than the ATI equivalent, I have heard it can render Toy Story 2 in real-time!!!

i see you have an ATI RADEON PRO 9000,i just purchased one for 50.00 bucks,will i be able to hook my vcr up to that?i know my ignorance ia showing but all im trying to do is copy my old vcr home movies to cd or dvd.what else should i buy?

Isn't the 9000 Pro a good looking card for not much. One thing I will say is I put the Catalyst 3.0 driver with DirectX 9 on my system and the card handles it with no problems. Even though it doesn't utilize it Madden 2003 never looked better. I believe there is a seperate component you can purchase to record from a VCR but I believe they come with the All-in-Wonder 8500 and 9700 Pro. I don't know if you can buy it seperatly but I will check out ATI.com for ya and reply ya back.

I do like Directx 9. I haven't ran into any problems with it and it does look great!! I have played Madden 2003, RTCW, and the Doom III alpha. The doom III alpha doesn't say much because I only reach about 18FPS but it's an alpha so what are you going to do!!LOL. the Madden and RTCW look great. I do not know the FPS on it but color and texture wise it looks beautiful.

It will probably make your 9700 look better! Oh yeah also check out the Omega drivers..they are awesome. Just go to warp2search.net and there should be a link for them.

well,without going into it too much,i bought the wrong card,i bought the agp card and i need the pci card----i think??well anyways i also need the all in wonder card.if i want tvin and out for recording.ah live aqnd learn!!!!i think im also gonna get another hard drive just for recording movies(VCR TO CD_R).ive got 40 gig now but im told thats not enough.now im really confused.all i wanted to do was tape my old home videos to cd or dvd.
