Linux's new GUI on version 8.0 is starting to look pretty good so I'm for the first time thinking about getting it. Anyone know much about installing it. I install Windows all the time, but I'm assuming Linux may be different. Is it fairly EZ to make your system a dual boot? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
It is as easy to install as windows. It is all done by wizards

Yeah, it's easy. I use several distributions of Linux, and they are all easy to install. The only problem is they take a little longer than Windows to install, and it takes forever to boot. At least it's stable enough I don't have to reboot to fix errors.

Is there good support for drivers built right into the OS. Like with WinXP you just install and it installs 90% of drivers on its own?
it will have some generic drivers and if you do get a well know distribution like red hat, mandrake, or suse then the chances are it will have the drivers for your stuff as long as you don't have unheard of hardware
