Folder view changes itself

I'm using Windows XP Home. I have it set up using a theme based on Windows Classic. I have set up my folders to be viewed in different ways. For example, in Windows Explorer I use detailed list view. For various other folders, such as Control Panel, I use Icons view. But the folders using Icon view reset themselves to list view (no details) and the size of the window changes. Sometimes they will remain as icons for a few days before reverting to list view. Between setting them to icon view and them reverting to list view I have not made any modifications to the view menu for any folder. What's particularly interesting here, to me anyway <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">, is that I had this same problem on a previous computer using Windows 98SE. <P>Check to see if the "Remember wach folder's view settings" option is selected. If you share your PC with someone else perhaps they might have changed the view setting and didn't tell you. Of course I personally favor the "Sloppy MS Programming" theory myself. You'll probably have to just live with it.</P>
