Hey there guys. Have you played with teh benchmark SuperPi?

Even though it's almost a million years old, it's still a good measure of FPU power. Just wondering what you guys get that's all.

You can download it here.

Here's my results.

I would assume that highly clocked Athlon's would kill me, the Athlon has always had a superior FPU!

Nice rig NaSTy! How do you like the SiS745 chipset?

Man you're in real need of a new videocard... Perhaps we can do something about that.

<< How do you like the SiS745 chipset? >>

Yeah It's not bad at all. I don't know much about chipsets but I think I read somewhere that the SiS chipset never really took off.
Whats your personal opinion Colin?

<< Man you're in real need of a new videocard... Perhaps we can do something about that >>

Colin mate, I'm all ears. You sure know how to get someone's attention
Personally I quite like the SiS chipsets. They've been really on the ball the last year.

The SiS745 never really took off because it's basically the old 735 with DDR333 support. Until recently when AMD moved the Athlon FSB to 166 MHz, PC2700 (DDR333) memory was really useless and was more for marketing purposes. That is like the move from KT266A to KT333, performance gain through sheer brute strength was zip.

Still I hear it's pretty good. Hey NaSTy, post some Sandra screenies and show us the power of the 745!

<< Colin mate, I'm all ears. You sure know how to get someone's attention >>

Well hopefully I'll have some more information for you guys later this week.
That's my sister's rig... Not bad for a system that's 2 years old.

<< Hey NaSTy, post some Sandra screenies and show us the power of the 745! >>

I'm getting there
Coz I'm not connected to net at home it makes it pretty hard
I do have the program on my machine at home, now I just have to get the screen
shots back to my work computer.
I tried running it on my work computer and the bloody thing rolled over and died

<< I tried running it on my work computer and the bloody thing rolled over and died >>

Oh no! Well good luck with that!
