The only bad thing I have read about this is that it does not allow the 256-bit interface compared to the hardware mod allowing it on the 9500 w/ 128M.

hmm...9500 non pro OR pro to 9700 is all good, but u lack bandwidth, only 128 bit interface, but its still all good. only thing is, BIOS flash. my friend killed his card! good thing he worked with me and we let him replace it.... but he killed it! so he never flashed it again. is there another way? an easier way? much easier than a risky BIOS flash? please do tell

MoNkeY the new Riva Tuner takes care of everything, no flashing required!

If it doesn't work, your card will still be ok.

How does the modified 9500 Pro compare to a Geforce 4 Ti 4600?

im my opinion, the 9500 pro without modification smokes the 4600. its cheaper, and hella fast even though the core speed and mem speed are slower than a 4600. still, the bandwidth is about the same, a little more i belive (i think i saw a theoretical bandwitdth of 13 gigs, but probly gonna be round 10-11-same->a lil more as ti46) but u can hit (with a p4 2.56 or AMD 2400+ around 13k 2d marks in 3D Mark 2001 se. in 2003, u can hit AROUND 3k, a lil more lil less, depends on mobo n memory and cas timings. but id buy a ATI 9500 cause its cheaper, best bang for the buck for the power it gives, and one fast card. get it. unless someone can prove me wrong? im up for opinions. ATI all the way. NVidia, what HAPPENED?
