I like the Abit KG7-RAID (of course I have one ) I oc my XP 2000+ to 1733 MHz with the stock HSF from AMD and it's pretty stable. If you want to go for hardcore cooloing, then it will probably be even more so.

Right now the fastest Socket A chipset is by far the nForce2. I am running the MSI K7N2 (nForce2) and it runs great. Colin also wrote a review of this board and it is on the PCStats.com homepage. Other nForce2 Boards are made by Abit, Asus, Epox, Chaintech, and Leadtek. Those will be your best options if you buy a new board. They will also support the up and comping Barton based Athlon XP 2500, 2800, and 3000. Afther those CPUs are released, it is basically the end of the line for Socket A, and the Hammer will take over.
The Abit KG7 was a great mobo when it came out, but it's getting a bit dated by today's standard. ecm1701 you could get much higher I'm positive if you swapped yoru hsf with something as cheap as a Volcano 9!

Shiznit hit the nail on the head here, eric if you're looking for a new AMD motherboard, get something that's using the nForce2. It's the fastest by far and stability is excellent!
