View Full Version : XP Won't Shutdown!
I need some help here. Xp won't shutdown, I go thru the process of shuting down but the computer just reboots. I've just had the computer up and running for a week now and manuly turn it off. This is the fourth computer I've built and it has the latest Bios, drivers,xpsp1, E.T.C! Specs: Gigabyte Ga8irxp MB, Maxtor 60gb 7200 133ATA using onboard Promise chip set to ATA133, Gf3 Ti 500, 256 of 2100 DDR. Runs great just won't shutdown!

I love hardware, but I'm a little weak on the software side of things. Why do you need to shutdown your computer? The only reason my ever gets shutoff is if I need to upgrade something
Hmm... I have seen this problem with a few of the PC's in the office as well. I don't remember what I did to fix it, but I'll see if I can get a fix for you.

Stay tuned...

RKD .. i don't think this is a os or any software problem you are having here.

most likely the motherboard just freaking out.. i have had a few do weird things like this myself.

its really hard to say what the problem is on this one without actaully looking at your system .
