Norton System Works

Anyone know how to activate the activate the "Empty Noron Protected Files" and "Empty Recycle Bin" options for Norton Systems Works? I am using the 2002 version and I upgraded my PC to WinXpPro. I right-clicked the Recycle Bin and clicked on Properties but those two options are grayed out. I cannot find any other way in NSW to correct this? <BR><BR>Thanks!<BR><BR>H.

Hansaman did you try putting something into the recycle bin? That should enable the "Empty Recycle Bin" option, as for the Norton protected files, is it enabled? Did you play with some services or MSCONFIG it away?

Colin, <BR><BR>I did not specifically place something into the Recycle Bin. I did however, run the Clean Sweep utility of NSW and that placed 12 items into the recycle bin. That did not however, activate the Empty Recycle Bin (or Norton Protected). I did not mess with anything in MSCONFIG of the Registry in an attempt to fix this. I have since removed NSW from my computer altogether, which did included going into REGEDIT and removing all traces of Norton and Symantec.
