Wow. This 60kb program works miracles. I stumbled up www.ipkonfig.com from another thread on this forum and I checked it out. It tweaks the registry in many different places. It deals alot with security issues because the OS is notorious for sending bits of information without you knowing it. It can also remove a couple inhibitive functions that slow down performance. I found myself removing pretty much everything on the list, restarted, and my comp booted up SO fast. As soon as the XP loader screen passed, I found all my programs up and running in muuuch less time. I also got some reclaimed bandwidth by removing the QoS packet.

Yea, Ad-Aware rocks my socks.<BR><BR>I say we make this a thread with all our anti-spy, anti-ad techniques.<BR><BR>I also use a rather large and wonderfully organized, alphabetized HOSTS file along with E-Dexter so most Ad banners appear as a blank space with a tiny line to notify me that the ad was never loaded and removed.<BR><BR>I allllso use this program <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.johanneshuebner.com/">ClickOff</a> which runs in my system tray, and anytime I get a popup window I right click the icon and go through the list of Windows that it detects, choose the popup, and everytime it pops up ClickOff closes it in a fraction of a second.<BR><BR>And of course, there's Kazaa Lite.
