Not my best subject, but if your looking for some songs (not sure that they are the best) heres a couple bands you might want to look up: Techno - The Prodigy - The Orb - Goldie Trance - Sun Electric i actually never heard of any of these bands, but i went to AllMusic.com and just typed in say Trance, made sure i was searching threw styles and got a whole bunch of bands, you may want to give it a try

Check out some Thunderdome/Earthquake for hcTechno, BuzFuzz, Delerium, Dj Dano to name a few. Trance there is no better than Rabbit in the moon. Keoki is really good, as are baby anne and Kimball collins. Prodigy, BT, Apollo 440 are pretty cool tho they are more techno/rock. Acid is hard to find but Electrochemie LK and Trommelmashine are good. Earthbound, The bounty hunter, Cj Bolland scope are all good euro rave.

prodigy is good, although their latest album wasnt as good as i hoped.. fat of the land i think is their best so far..

best dance songs? theres to many to mention! BBE - seven days and one week, robert miles - children, underworld - born slippy (an all time favourite) oh and one from the prodigy - out of space, just to mention a few..

a few good albums i have if you can get hold of them now still, are trance masters, trance masters uk, trance nation (mixed by judge jules) theres just so many i cant mention! i dont have the room!

LOL Where's rithemking when you need him?

I highly recommend Voyage into Trance and Tranceport both by Paul Oakenfold. Track 13 on Tranceport is freakin beautiful. If you're into Drum n' Bass then you should check out Dieselboy, specifically the projectHUMAN album.

HELP!
Allow me to start by apologizing if I am interupting any previous conversations. My name is Ben, and three and a half years ago, I heard ja techno song. I wished to hear this song again, but the friend who originally guided me to this song returned the CD it was on (burned) to his friend, and was then shipped to Iraq. For the last almost four years, I have looked for this song with no luck, and this is becoming exasperating beyond belief, so now I come to this forum with the hopes that some stranger with an encyclopedia-like knowledge of techno can help me. I know not the name of the group responsible for the song, or really the song's title, though I do have a lead. Time has also dulled my memory to the point that I cannot even remember how the song goes, only that it is a very energetic high tempo piece which breaks and allows a group of children to sing about happy subjects. A small shining bit of lyric which stands out in my mind is "...puppy dogs and wagging tails..." sung by a chorus of small children. Also, when I queried the girlfriend of my friend the marine, she told me that the name of the song might be "Summertime" though after many hours spent on song findig databases and downloading programs like bearshare and napster, I found nothing, and am beginnig to doubt that that is the correct song title. She also said the song title might be "Sunshine" but that search also proved fruitless. If there is some venerable master of techno out there, please, put an end to my year-long quest, help me find the name of this song and the artist, so that I can go about procuring said song. Thank you for your time.

It's too generic sounding to me. Maybe I just haven't listened to it enough. Personally, I prefer Drum n' Bass and progressive stuff. Dieselboy's good and Concord Dawn's good. On Concord Dawn's album "Uprising", there's DnBafied remix of Slayer's Rein in Blood. It's pretty interesting.

fellas i've been looking for this song for a while. i've searched for it using the little clues i have to no avail. The clues? well the video was with a GIANT sized (taller than a building) man dressed up in an "old-school" deep sea diver suit. u know the one's with the round metal helmets. Anyway he's break dancing through the city. eventually there's also a giant sized man in a modern scuba diving suit. The song i would say is between 1 to 2 years old. Any help would be great. thanx

Hey, can anyone help me with this? It's the name of a techno or trance song I can't find out. At the beginning of the song it goes "In the Beginning, there was house music...so let this house be progressive!" and from there, there's a jungle-type beat to it. If anyone can name this song it would be great.

Sure you got the words right? Sounds like the start of 'God is a DJ' by Faithless, but I REALLY wouldn't say that song had a jungle beat!

im been searching for an awesome song i just heard on the radio on b 96.3 and i can't find it. Just wondering if anyone knows what this is called. I have a playlist that I've been working on for about two years that I gathered from listening to the Trance station on AOL Radio. I started off making compilations sort of like the whole Now! thing, and called it Best of: AOL Radio - Trance, vol. x. I've stopped at 10 though.

At any rate, the playlist is kind of one end of the spectrum to the other for the genre trance. It goes from borderline electronica and house to borderline psych. 108 tracks: 11:58:56 playtime.

I live in Boulder. Shame we dont have any good techno stations, at least since 96.1 stopped playing.
I also live in Boulder. Yeah, you're right. I did hear a cool song by cascada on area 93.3, but other than that you can't find any good stations here. Your best bet is to listen to interent radio from germany. They have a lot of good online dance/trance/techno stations there.

Dj Marc - Euromix 97 Jan Wayne - 123 Keep the spirit alive, Lightforce- Eternity, Marc Smith- Revival, MPT- Happy Dayz, Cascada - Bad boy, the list goes on lol.

I have a lot of those same artists as favorites, the problem is most of them come from europe. Do you know where to get good eurodance/eurotrance music in the US or online? I have yet to find any good sources here.

I remember visiting Jacksonville, FL and I believe it was 93.3 that had a pretty good mix. Up in the Trenton, NJ area, there was a 105 station that had a good selection, also. Here in Charleston, SC, there is one station that might sometimes play like the "popular" radio mix of dance songs, and that's once in a blue moon, too.

I use LimeWire every once in a while to download music. I normally just browse torrent sites for music. Sometimes just downloading tracks at random to find out that I may or may not like it. I listen to the Winamp Shoutcast Radio stations. I mainly listen to Digitally Imported stations. Theres lots of good music to be found there.

Torrent sites? Can you tell me how to find them? I had a roommate once who used bitorrent a lot, but I never figured out where he got the torrent files themselves from.

Go to dbpoweramp.com and download DbPoweramp Music Converter; it's a great little tool for converting/ripping audio tracks and works with every format i've ever used. There's a tool that comes with it called DMC Auxillary Input; open that up and you can use it to rip pretty much any piece of audio that your computer plays. It takes a minute to get the hang of the app; just make sure you've got the recorder volume at a good level and that you select the right input (what-u-hear is what i always use, works every time). also you have to hit record; then it'll start recording; then hit record again when you want it to stop... that can get a little annoying sometimes, but it's really the only beef i have with that particular program.

Ok guys hopefully you can help me out on this...when i go to this club out here in denver they play this song and at the beginning there is this girl talking and she is saying something about everyone get up and dance, and at the end she says lets get this party started, and then this real heavy bass beat comes in. Wondering if anyone can help me out. Maybe this song is about 6-8 years old. I used to hear it in all the clubs (sound factory, limelight tunnel etc) and it was on all the mix tapes. Hi all, my first time posting so was wondering if anyone could help me look for a techno song. I've been looking for it for about a half year and honestly, have no lyrics or melodic line i can write out to use as a lead lol.

all i know is that there are no vocals, the beat is what i can only describe as very aggressive, and there was not much melody to the song. it was more focused on the aggressive beat.

i pretty much heard it at every club i went to in the later half of 2006 =/.
(pretty popular around october to november).

edit: actually all else i can provide is that there is a steady singular beat in the background with a quick (almost staggered) 5 beat pattern that plays repeatedly to lead into the steady beat.

lol hell, i don't even know where to start searching =/. i've been listening to online "dance" and "techno" radio stations for almost a year now and i haven't found anything =/.

Benny Benassi- Satisfaction club remix! I really haven't a clue unless I heard some of it. Sounds like it may be some sort of hard trance techno dance. But you'll have to do a little better than that.

ive also been looking for this techno song for a long time... i heard it on this kids ipod and he didnt know the real name of it. the best he could give me was that he thought it was from the movie boondock saints. ive looked at all of the songs on that soundtrack i think... but im not sure. anyways its like an irish techno song. i think its suppossed to be like the sound of an irish fiddle and thats all i can really say.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a song, like a lot of people here, lol. I was hoping you could help me, I found another song here before too.

Unfortunatly I can't give a lot of lyrics, it was partially sung in a different language too. It's a dance song, and the both the video and the song had a Middle Eastern feel to it. The beat of the song sounded like an electric sitar. It had a blackhaired woman in it, on the beach, and also a horse.
Some of the lyrics went "I.. can't breath.*back-up singers sing something* I.. can't (sleep)"
