LOL...that is an awsome Idea. Anyone got a fried AMD Cpu they could send me (I'll pay shipping) so I can make a keychain?

Anyone got a fried P4 to send me. I would just love to drill holes through it for the fun of it. I'd also pay shipping for that as well

yeah. heatsink did'nt sit on the core at all because of the epox 8k3a+ and the off sized holes for four post mounting for heatsinks. i was using a alpha pal 8045 at the time and the plastic washers didnt sit in the holes right and i was being dumb and didnt think anything of it lol. next thing i know there is crap oozing out of the core lol.

that looks like a tbirdy ... ceramic cpus cant be drilled. not even with diamond bits. i have tried it .. they just break from pressure.

i got a dead tbird 1.2 sitting here lol.

So Colin I take it as you'r a hardcore pentium 4 fan? Am I right you got probly one of the best ones out there, and this whole cpu keychain thing, never heard of it before but not a bad idea at all.

Joe

you havent really been able to make cpu keychains until the newew design with cpus using pcb and not ceramic.

but computer part keychains has been around for years.

My latest idea is to get some superglue and glue a peice of metal w/ a hole in it for the keyring. Tobad i dont have any superglue...

Do you guys keep the pins or remove them? I imagine that would be quite uncomfortable in your pants.... If you remove em, how do you do that?

I'd use the metal hook idea on an AMD processor....If it was a P4 I'd drill the hole right through the core
