Shut down time of your computer, or of Intenet Explorer. Shutdown time of your computer is important if your sitting there doing a restart.

<< i once had this program >>

So what does it matter now
Whats the program called? is it Windows washer
Or a simple way is to close the program B4 you shut down
It should be located in the bottom right corner, just right click on it then go to exit

its not shuting down my internet explorer, its shutting down windows, well i need to shutdown my comp cuz its in my room and i need it to go off, my fan is kinda loud and i can't sleep with it on
Put your HiFi on full blast to driown out the sound of the computer then you can go blissfully to sleep

well ok the thing on shutdown is not resolved, its not windows washer though, i had tweakXP installed and i turned this option on to clean the internet explorer address bar at shutdown but then i uninstalled TweakXP, can i turn this option off some other way? or anyone got any ideas, i really slows my shutdown time, i have to wait like around 2 minutes for it to shutdown, really a pain in the ass

come on guys i really need help with this stupid thing, its so annoying, shudown takes so long, *restart too*
dude 2minutes aint nothing for a shutdown time considering its winxp lol. i have had my computer take about 5 minutes to shutdown at times. (note: this is like after a month or so of uptime)

but really .. 2 minutes aint that bad. if you think about all the things windows has to shutdown in order to complete this tast succesfully.

IM applications can cause a big drag on shutdown. tweakxp shouldnt cause that long of a shutdown.
2 minutes with XP? You gotta be kidding. Win98 is about 2 seconds. If I had to run out the door I would be pretty pissed that I had to wait for a computer to turn off. Actually, I would probably just pull the plug.

exactly my point CHE, that what i feel like doin when it takes so long, when i first got my comp, it look liek 3 seconds to shutdown, now cause of this f*cking tweakXP bullsh*t it takes so long, and im not use to it being so long
why do you wait for your computer to shut down? lol .. it will shutdown sooner or later lol .... actually why even shut it down lol .. leave them running 24/7 and run folding at home

i guess i cant say much though .. i have worked with computers that take about 16 hours to be fully rebooted. (company i did some work for.) lol .... but you are talking one massive cluster there.

filip if you absolutely need faster shutdown times i would suggest getting rid of tweakxp all together .. and checking out sites that have a good amount of information on registry tweaking (MAKE SURE YOU BACK IT UP FIRST!) ... sites like http://www.tweakxp.com/tweakxp/
