Hey, I was just wonderin, as I'm new to computers and all, how do you guys take your CPU temp? The only way I've done it is at the BIOS at start up, but I'd like a way to know the temperature when I'm at my desktop.

Motherboard Monitor is probably your best bet... Many motherboards do come with their own hardware monitoring software so perhaps you should check your motherboard CD as well.

Doh! I had the same problem as compsnake I think it was, who had the 0 C readings on all three sensors, and I just figured out today to read the help section, and they explained that you had to set up the sensors, doh! Anyways, are the readings accurate? I have three readings, I think two are cpu and case temp, but what's the other. Also, uh, what are those diode things you can choose besides the sensors?

Ed you have to configure Mohterboard Monitor to read the temperatures properly... It's not difficult.

your CPU temp is a tad on the high side but within tolerances...

Hm, my comp freezes a lot though, after an hour or two it'll just freeze, even if I'm just surfing the web. It just stops dead, and I can't ctrl alt del anything either, think it's the CPU temp? Oh, by the way, is the CPU temp the one in the 50's?
