i got a weird fold task!

ok guys.... i just recieved a 200 WU fold task that's running so slow it's almost like a 800 task. and the strange thing about it is that this specific project has its own dedicated page. i think it's project 611 if i am correct. just wondering if any of you have gotten anything like this one. i really hope it's gonna be some big score. <BR><BR>-bam!

I got the exact same problem this weekend. I think when I left this morning it was only on 59/200, and it's been running since Saturday night. At that speed it might not be worth much at all.

you guys are getting "gromac" wu's .. they talk a long long time to do .. but have a max points of 73 i beleive. just let it run <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> <BR><BR>but if you want to get rid of it .. just go into your folding at home folder and delete the work units in it and it will download new ones. <BR><BR>

Hmmm....I'm doing sort of the same thing. I have a XX/200 WU. I've been doing it for over 24 hours and it's still not half way done. It's project 627. I've looked through everyone's record and nobody seems to have done this one so far. If I don't get at least 20pts, I'm gonna boycott F@H!!! I have a 180pt lead over BAM right now and I need to keep him off my ass until I can upgrade which won't be for at least a couple weeks.

LMAO! Mine was still at 177/200 when I woke up this morning, and I shut off grokster to give it full access to the CPU. LOL. The log shows it takes about 25 minutes per unit......

is it just me or that it's true. i've noticed that not all 400WUs or 200 WUs take the same amount of time to complete. some takes longer and some shorter. except for those gromac... they just take forever period.

Your CPU can only do WU's 5-7% faster than mine. Your running 2130Mhz and I'm running 2000Mhz stock. That isn't very much faster at all and mine is running stock so it won't drop WU's like yours will occasionally. If you drop 1 out of 20 for your overclock, there goes the 5% lead you have over me so I may actually still be doing work faster than you <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">

The 2.66B is a good value overclocker, most do around 3.2-3.3 GHz on air, on the Prometeia I would expect about 3.6... Those 3.06's are in a class of their own though when it comes to overclocking! Most can do 3.6 GHz on <b>air</b>! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0"><BR><BR>Hehe... I didn't say I was getting a new Intel chip, I simply said I was getting something better which would allow me to retire my current fastest processor... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"><BR><BR>Yes guys we're doing some awesome work...
