I just installed the software and I'm folding like crazy, lol. I only use my computer like 4 or maybe 5 hours a day, so might as well put it to work on something worthwhile

Findarr
I haven't had a sound card in a couple years. I have the nForce 2 Dolby Digital as well and I wasn't sure if a sound card would sound better. I'm not a real audiophile so I wouldn't know the difference, but it just seems weird to plug $200 4.1 speakers into onboard sound. Doesn't it?
actually as you know i am a audio/image freak!... the audigy 1's sound quality is just as good as the Nforce2's. the only thing that audigy 1 is slightly better than nforce2 is the recording quality. but when it comes to gaming, nforce2 totally kicks audigy's 1 ass. also audigy 1 is very very buggy when it comes to gaming. you can trust me on the sound shiznit! wait for the audigy 2 if you ever wanna upgrade. it's the only soundcard i would actually recommand for people who own a Nforce2.

Your words of wisdom are enough for me. All I'm worried about is Gaming/MP3 playback. I'll stick with the nForce 2 onboard. In the "Other Hardware" section I posted a thread about Logitech speakers....check it out if you haven't already.
I'm no audiophile either, but from my very limited experience with the nForce2 audio, I have ot say it totally kicks ass as well. Much better then any of the other onboard audio cards/codec's by far!

Colin...you keep saying your using your main rig and your 2 test systems during the day. If my addition is right, that is 3 computers. It's been saying you've been using 4 computers for quite some time now....what are you trying to hide???
Shiznit, I have many different test rigs/test configuration, but they're almost never a complete system and I don't use them to fold.

I'm currently folding with three computers, my main rig which is a P4 @ 2.4 GHz, a P3 800EB and a P3 866...
