Warcraft 3 Players Needed

Hey, all you WC3 players... I am looking for as many players as possible to join my 2 friends and I on playing certain tower of defense maps.<BR><BR>If you don't know what they are... they're modified maps where you start out with one peon.. and there is a sort of maze that a hoard of monsters follow. With your peon you have to build towers to stop the monsters from getting to a certain point. It's cool because depending on the maps the authors add different towers and heros and stuff. I assure you, it's fun. The map we're working on now is an 8-10 player map.. so we need lots of people.<BR><BR>If you're interested.. we play using Battle LAN (not BNET) so it's a direct connection. From Battle LAN? It's not a network. It's a small program that you run in the background to play direct connect games. It emulates an LAN by sending packet info outside the LAN. End result: play whoever you want just by typing in the hosts IP address. I don't even have a legit CD key and I can play with my buddies. It's definitely way cool. If you want to join, let me know. Right now it's 8.30pm EST and we haven't started yet. We found some way cool hero maps and tower of defense maps and have more to test out and play around with.<BR><BR>Drop a line.

Where do you get Battle LAN? Does it work with games other than Blizzards?<BR><BR><BR>Cayman

I got it from one of the many Starcraft/Warcraft sites out there by doing a search.<BR>It was designed for Starcraft and Warcraft but I think I remember seeing something in the readme that in theory it should work for other games as well. I can send it to you if you want, it's a small program. Give me somewhere to send it.

Total Annihilation was the first good RTS game. Almost all other RTS games are based off of it. It was released in September 1997 and there are still about 120 people online on either Zone or Gamespy Arcade playing it just about all day long.
