View Full Version : command prompt junkie
I love using DOS or any command prompt interface (hence i have several linux ased machines) and PTSDOS 2000 is my favourite so far. It's a neat program if you like that sort of stuff, works just like MS-DOS or IBM DOS as regards to windows resources but it supports more stuff than regular DOS. it also works as a boot manager which is nice, i believe it boots up to 10 diff OSs.
Fun, eh?
Yeah, I like typing stuff into a command prompt. I just wish I had more knowledge of the different platforms that are available out there. I have grown fat and lazy with all these GUIs.
zaltec I guess you're a pretty big fan of Linux then huh?
Yup...Linux is awesome. If I could play all my games and run all my benchmarks in native mandrake, I wouldn't touch windows. But running everything through emulators and cross-platform modifiers slows everything down.
I have one Wiindows pc, my main one for gaming and benchmarking, and two linux boxes for playing with and coding on. and surfing the internet etc...when i get bored of gui browsers of course. I have red hat adv server 9.0 beta one one and mandrake 9 on the other. redhat has no gui installed, and mandrake has a hybrid.
I use Red Hat 8.0 myself, but I'm not much of a Linux junkie... Why you ask? The main reason is cuz I'm lazy...
well if your lazy, get the bluecurve gui...it's way better than XP, almost as good as OSX.
Awesome! I'll check that out on the wknd zaltec!
