its been just over a week and my first fold (wu400) is just finished. That seems like a long time, but not when you have it on for only a few hours a day

Polykranopalous you're using AMD so I wouldn't be surprised if you eventually catch up to me! F@H doesn't like P4's.

I'll be ordering my Barton Monday if NewEgg has them in. With it I'll be getting my new Sony 21" Monitor and the Logitech z560's.....and a new Keyboard/Mouse to go along w/ the black/silver theme. Muah ha ha ha! If all goes well I'll get an overclock to somewhere around 3200+ PR. Then I'll really be able to kick some folding ass. My only goal right now is go keep half the score of recycle with my one system, compared to his six. I think that is an awsome feat all in inself. This other guy by the name of Colin used to be in competition, but with how it looks now, in another week he's gonna be in somewhere around 5th place

LOL...I've had my 2100+ @ 2340mhz folding for almost 24 hrs now and i've got 2 400 under the belt and another coming up soon. AMD just kicks ass @ folding
My Celeron 1300 did good for a while tho...it'll be retired now tho, don't need it cluttering my scores

Haha, Shiznit, you're going to upgrade your system so soon?

Well I'm not surprised I can't keep up, F@H is bias towards AMD!

Upgrading the CPU is only going to cost about $60....after I sell my 2400 on eBay I'm an ebay freak!

Hopefully all will go well with the overclock. After that all I will need to upgrade is my Video Card and that will last me until the Hammer arrives in september. I can't believe that the main reason it is deleyed is because Microshaft can't get the 64bit OS done in time. I'd like to have a copy of Linux Redhat 8 running soon. I need to burn the CDs at school and get them installed.

Get ahold of Win Adv Server...it runs on Itaniums. Although...it isn't exactly home use software...
red hat is great! Get the Bluecurve gui for it, it's the best one yet...
Bluecurve GUI...does it come with it? do I have to d/l it? I'm not very familiar with Linux that's why I want to get it. Hopefully someday it will overtake Windows

Well, It should ship out with Bluecurve. Basically there are two guis for Linux GNOME and KDE. Bluecurve incoporates them both, allowing the user to pick what they like from either gui. It's easy as GNOME but as powerfull as KDE. Simple concept.
I'm pretty sure than RedHat 8.0 Advanced Server also ships with a tweaked version of Bluecurve. Adv Svr runs on Itanium chips, so I see no problems with it running on Hammers. go to linuxplanet.com or redhat.com to learn more. The best thing about linux and the reason people will begin to accept it as the median home user gets more computer savvy it that it's open source. Windows will never agree to be open sourced and will always remain limited for developers.

LOL@bluegreenshxt

I'm still using retro beige components. I update internal components frequently, but never all the external ones. What I'm doing now I guess is the equivelent of buying a new computer. After these updates, they'll all be good for the next 3 years and I can focus on the internal components.
