I <b>think</b> the processor is unlocked for the Asus A7N8X by default with the 1002 bios. I'm not 100% sure though, I havne't had any time to overclock it yet.

i was wondering if connecting the last pair of dots on the L5 bridge applies to these chips since there on the new barton core with the 512k cache?

Well I got a Barton XP 3000+ myself... As for unlocking it, I'm not sure yet, my last L3 bridge is connected.<BR><BR>Will have some more updates soon. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
