Hi there guys, im new to these forums, and I have a good question to boggle your minds. Well here's my setup. I have a 1998 IBM aptiva with a VOODOO 5500, 5.1 Soundblaster (X-gamer), 384 MB of 133 Ram, and an ACER V66M Motherboard. I have recently plugged in about 3 new cooling fans and some extra heatsinks for added cooling. I downloaded 3dhq Tools VOODOO Overclocker and turned up my Video card to 200 mhz. I also downloaded Soft FSB and have been attempting to find a matching motherboard within the program, and I have not found one yet. I played around with the switch 6 on the motherboard trying to perhaps increase the voltage slightly, but to no avail. Also, I am running Windows 98 (Not SE), and I cannot configure my Bios. So, I downloaded a Bios tweaker, but my computer freezes every time I attempt to adjust processor setting.

Basically what I am trying to do is Overclock my IBM Aptiva Acer v66m Motherboard to somewhere around 800 mhz, from 550. And I need some help in doing it. If you guys could help me out, I would be greatful, as I have been at this for quite a while now, somewhere around 2 months now. Thank you very much!

GuyWhoKnowsNothing welcome to PCStats!

I'm not surprised you were not able to find your motherboard in SoftFSB... That program will only recognize retail motherboards, not OEM's. You could try looking up your clock generator, that may work (sorry not sure, havne't used SoftFSB in about 2 years).
