Buy a $2 can of compressed air, turn it upside down and blow Liquid O2 into your case....that'll cool it down to around -10F

No fears Clayts....you have a whole lot of catching up to do. Howard BAM is my biggest single system threat as he's running overlclocked...aprox 2600-2700. He has yet to show any sign of catching up. I'm pretty sure I'm maintaining my single system lead. In the even that I see a single system catching up to me, I will upgrade to a Barton 2500 and OC it to around 3000-3200 Bring it on...all this competition is good for the team.
lol ... remember 286's and 386's .. i remember 80/86's .. and old computers
I loved my Sinclair ZX80! And then the Commodore 64...man I played the crap out of that system

The first computer I ever used was a Pentium 100Mhz. I'm not familiar with the 286/386/486 Era. I do however know all about the turbo button I have an old Computer in my attic. its either a 286, 386, or 486 but I have no idea how to figure out which one. It has a monitor (green) and all. I'll probably sell it on ebay one of these days along with the Compaq 100Mhz system

lol...I'm 21. I didn't use computers very much until I was actually in high school. I didn't build my first one until about a year and a half ago. It's kind of like an big hobby of mine now. I read about this kind of stuff for at least an hour everyday Talk about having no life. My system upgrade path includes:

Pentium 100Mhz
Pentium II 450Mhz <----My first computer!
Athlon XP 1600 (OC 1800) <----First computer I built
Athlon XP 2400 <----Current Rig
Barton 2500 (OC 3000) <----Next upgrade if people start catching me at F@H
Hammer <-----If it ever arrives...my next total system revamp

I've built many other computers inbetween, they just weren't for me The biggest jump in performance was going from the 100Mhz to the 450Mhz. If only performance increase so drastically now a days. I see no real difference between my Athlon XP 1600 and my 2400 except for in benchmarks.
LOL..... i haven't been catching up cause all the games i've been playing!!>.. .. i just just beated unreal II tonight.... that was such a great game>>>... short but great tho... i am now concentrating on C@C general.. i have to say that game is about the only application that actually utilize all my CPU power. on top of that i still have to overclock my video card to keep the best high quality/resolution gaming experience. anyways... maybe i'll catch up wit ya someday shiz!!... maybe not... tho we're dong well as a team tho. i should be getting splinter cell next week.. .oh man.... when that comes.. i dont think i'l even have time for F@H anymore... i got my graphic design projects to do and then that game to beat!!! man....
The first computer I had was a 286 running at 12 MHZ with 40Mb hard drive (which wa the size of 3 of todays hard drives) 256k of memory. a 5.25" floppy dive and a monocrome (amber) monitor.

I had it for ages. riginally it was running MS-DOS 4.2, ten I upgraded to MS-DOS 6 and then to Windows 3.1

my upgrade path goes

286 - 486 - Pentium 1 MMX - AMD K7 ??? - Pentium III 733 - AMD XP 1800+

As you can see I keep them for quite some time.

I also have a green screen 8086 in the loft, it i a very big paperweight

I used to use the same system for a long time. I wouldn't upgrade until CPU's where about 4X faster than what I was running. Now I think 500Mhz is a good enough reason to upgrade. As processor speeds start to increase faster and faster, I will probably switch to 1Ghz as being the standard for upgrades.
My first computer was an Intel 486 DX/33 overclocked to DX40. I still remember moving the FSB jumper, that was a lot of fun...

It had a whooping 4MB of memory and it cost me like $200 CDN to upgrade to 8MB! Haha, how times change so quickly. I think I still got that box at my parents house somewhere in the basement...
