ok should i get this or the hhc-001, i have a 1900+ and i want to overclock it to 1.8 or 1.7, the problem is that with the heatpipe, its a little Xtra cost, and im worried that i heatpipes will interfer with those black things near the heatsink.
Keep in mind the heatpipes are useless at too-low temps and too-high temps.

They can work at very high temps if you have a strong enough fan to keep the very top of the fins cool enough so that the gas in the pipes can condense.

Get the HHC-001. It is going to be very loud. If it is too loud for you, you can get a 80mm to 60mm converter and put a quiet 80mm fan on there with a decent output.
filip69692000 hwo much do you have to spend on cooling? The HHC-001 is good, but at high temps you'll need a strong fan otherwise the heatpipe technology will be counter productive.

How do you plan to oc, did you unlock your processor or do you just want to raise your FSB?

well im lets see i just want to raise fsb, i don't have spare cash to get another cpu if i f*ck this one up, althoguh i would like a new one, i don't mind spending up to 30 bucks if it'll get me to 1.8 ghz, and since i will upgrade the cpu in a long run, i won't have to buy another fan/hs, does anyone agree?

if i keep the fan that comes with the heat pipes, will that be ok for the heat pipe effect?

Yes....your really have to do a severe overclock for the heatpipes to stop working. That HS is designed to handle overclocking so you should be fine.

i have this same heatsink, i was wondering if it could handle amd xp 2700+, 2500+, and the other bartons oced 200mhz with a fsb of 400 with the same fan that it comes with?

tia

same heatsink as in the coolermaster HHC-001

Yeah, that should be no problem as long as the case is kept relatively cool.
