i have installed 3dmark, got my AA of and all that, ran it lousily <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">, then coming up to the second sound test i encountered this little beast<BR><BR><a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://modding.elitegnet.com/nebula/cs/fmod.jpg">http://modding.elitegnet.com/nebula/cs/fmod.jpg</a><BR><BR>don't suppose anyone has a clue?<BR><BR>also any tips to as to getting my score higher?<BR><BR>thanks for any input<BR><BR>Chris<BR>

Don't do the sound tests<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Holicho didn't, nor did he do any of the cpu tests...and he still got 6800+<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0"><BR><BR>What was your score? 3dmark03 is very gpu limited<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> but you may get higher scores if your processor wasn't bottlenecked by that PC2100 DDR<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

now there would be the problem. i suspect, as it is the first time i tried to run it, i cannot alter anything, or maybe this is a feature only implemented in '03 edition.<BR>if anyone has seen 02 or even 01 on the net still, i would be greatful if they could give me a link to it.<BR>thanks <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

yeah thats what im using, and no i cant get an overall score. i cant find a way to disable the test. i may borrow a crap sound card of my mate. currently saving for the SBA platinum.

make sure you get the audigy II platnium not I. <BR>

Shufty the you disable the integrated audio in the BIOS... Look in your INtegrated peripherals section. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

hmmmm. i decided to reformat and install the 2001 SE version. and was greeted by my sound not working period. lol<BR><BR>im gonna make the executable my shell, see if that frees up some resources because i got the worst mark i ever saw even though its not OC'ed: 9657<BR>

3dmark 2k3 is very buggy in my opinion ... the first four benchmarks are fine ... and those are the only ones you need to get a score .... but the rest are just crap.

i have to agree. prior to my "fmod" thing, it hung to the point of needing a restart 3 times. and this is on a clean install of 98<BR>i've had no problems with this version, i just need to tweak the balls of it<BR><BR>off topic: i shaved 3 seconds off my boot time (2k advanced server) by making the system BIOS cachable. also made a few in the registry and its running considerably faster and a lot more stable.
