If you have no money, where'd you get your system from? My parents sure as hell wouldn't support that.

My parents would laugh at me if I asked for something like that. When I was 16 I had to come up with $3,600 for my first Computer....Dell Dimension XPS-R450....it was bad ass.

<< $3600??yeesh..no wonder why your still in debt..LOL..i cant quite save money..haha..i end up going out with friends and spending it all..lol >>

Systems weren't quite as cheap as they are now.... When I got it 5 years ago, 19" Monitors were HUGE (and expensive) and haveing 128MB of RAM was unreal (all my friends had between 8-32MB).
I'm 15 and my system is about the same. Hmmm, I need a job too. I wonder if it is possible. Oh ya, and I don't live in Canada. So, you Canadians won't be able to help me on this. I got my money by mowing lawns.

LMAO! I didn't get my first computer (my own) until I was 26!!!!!
LOL! Look at me now!
Mikexe 14, mowing lawns can rake you in plenty of dough. One of my roommates drove back to MT from WA every weekend to serve his humongous number of regular clientele. Actually paid for his room and board that way (wish I'd started at 15).

IT's easy to build a system for cheap what i do is buy an OK mobo buy a fast chip(AMDs have the best value) form www.pc-beyond.com or whatever site u like. Just by a crappy case and keep using it till it eather get eaten through by rust or till it won't run pc components for the grfx card i started with a crappy one just so i could see my desktop. Then i saved up and got my current one. For the sound card unless ur doing music editing then just go with a cheap one. Modems cost like $20 now cd writers are really cheap. The monitors the expensive part really. for an OS don't worry it's not like anyone actually buys them anymore. I think that it except for input devices which are cheap also.

I prefer to have a more well rouned system that looks damn nice. I lover my Coolermaster Case/Silver 21" Sony Monitor/Logitech speakers. A cheap powersupply in a cheap case is something to stay away from. Your components won't get the power they need to perform how they should, and you may end up running into stability problems. I feel your Motherboard is more important than the fastest CPU. You need a good Mobo that is upgradable. On top of that it is a royal pain in the ass to swap out motherboards if something goes wrong, or if you need to upgrade it constantly just to use a faster processor.

<< I have NO money is it possible to get a job at 15? >>

you could always sell crack ???? .... .. j/k man .. dont do that .. i have seen plenty of what happens to ************************ dealers and ************************gies. dont get into that

but yes .. cutting lawns is a great way of making money. unless you live ina big city. i dont think many people will pay you much to mow their concrete .

but pretty much the only job you will get at 15 is bagging groceries.

Sell old crap you don't use anymore on eBay....Rednecks love to buy useless crap and there are enough of them out there, that they actually have bidding wars over junk. Gotta love America!

Hey Shiznit....careful how you talk 'bout us rednecks!
Forget all this crap about working for other people.. Work for yourself. Come up with some ideas on how to earn
cash doing something you enjoy. <strike>Teach old people how to use the net</strike> Go to your local computer
store and make a deal with them. Tell em you'll buy all your parts off them if they give you cheaper prices than
your average joe off the street. And sell upgrades. speak too ya old man and see if he's willing to back you up.
I know someone who did this for a little while but it was mainly friends, friends families and families friends and
friends friend of a friend (you get the picture) computers he was up grading. I don't know what its like up your
end but I was working for HJ's (Burgur King) when I was 13.
Oh and If you ever change the Mobo and your not doing a fresh install make sure you know what you're doing coz
it can be shock to the operating system.
And this guy I'm talking about was only 16 when he was doing this.

Oh and linux has really started to become a good alternative but for gaming it has a long way to go. I get more into distributed computing and is perfect for me.

The k6 series was terrible. I still have a k6-2 550 that collects dust and the performace is on par with a p2-400. So far I have had systems based on a k6-2 550, duron 800, duron 800, tbird 800, tbird 1100, tbird 1200, tbird 1.4, xp 1800, xp 1800, xp 1800, and xp 1700 plus I'm going to be getting another xp in a week or two so you think I might have enough experiece with AMD cpus to tell the good ones from the bad ones. I don't have all these computers right now I have the k6-2 550, duron 800, xp1800 palamino, xp1700 and xp1800 both tbreds but only run the xp's.
Oh yes I have one runing in the house now As well as an 800 duron and 2 xps 1700+ and 2700+
Some where I should have my Dx 4/100 dx40 & dx80 cpus stored in a box
alot of 15 yr olds work at grocery stores. How I made my money when I was younger was we also lived away from everything but as luck had it there was a golf course adjacent to our property so i would go in the woods and find golfballs and resell them to the golfers.
