google isn't a team for competition purposes. the google toolbar has the client built in so it really wouldn't be fair to any teams plus stanford has bent the rules a little for google.

In the case of Folding@home, it is folding proteins for Stanford University's study of medical cures and things like that. Then you can challenge all your mates to see who's machine can fold the fastest.
