Which place is realistic for PCStats@Home

I was looking through the Team Stats listing on the Folding site and we are moving agressively up the ranks. However, I don't think top 10 or top 20 is within our reach, no matter how much we want it (well, I want it at least, hehe). The only way would be to recruit more people, I estimate about 200+ active folderoids (there might be a better name for someone who is folding <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> ).<BR><BR>after looking at the name I came up with, it has too much familiarity to hemorrhoids and therefore doesn't inspire much desire from people to become one.<BR><BR>Any thoughts?<BR><BR>K

I think 10th is doable even with the present amount of members most people here have really fast systems a little direction is needed on how to use them more effeciently especially you P4 guys. if you guys follow my instruction everyone would double maybe even triple their production and P4's would actually be out folding XP's. I have been getting 50 pts per a day per a cpu everyday and there are alot faster ones here then the ones I have. I could write up a little guide if people are interested.

it just so happens I started writing one last night. I will look over it once more before posting it. It's just going to be how to get the best wu's and the use of the flags and what they do.

Ok I put it up but keep in mind that if you are overclock too high the core will report an error. if they happens to anyone a 10 or 20 mhz drop could do the trick. Same thing happened with my latest cpu it would finsh prime with no error but when it came to folding one type of wu would only make it 1 or 2 frame then the client would delete it and restart it again until I finally lowered my overclock 20mhz

Please do that Bionic, it will only apply to P4s? My dual P3 seems to take forever to do units, then again, it's only dual 500MHz. hehe<BR><BR>K

nope it will speed up any cpu with sse or 3dnow extended(to a lesser extent).

it's good to have somebody who's experienced in F@H on our team <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"><BR><BR>i think our team name is great. should stick with it. changing name is like changing the whole soul of a team. i'll feel very strange if our team name is changed. if we're doing fine.. should just leave it the way it is.

yea I agree. some teams do use mascots take AMDMB.com folding team for example their mascot is a frog and the offical team name is "AMDMB.com folding team" but there are also known as "AMDMB folding frogs"

I only see one problem. cheeta could be misunderstood as us self proclaming to be cheaters. A mongoose is fast too.

i think teamPCstats is straightforward representing the site PCStats. not to mention many might already know us as PCstats, the fast growing team. changing the name will just be confuse others as if all of a sudden PCstats is gone. we've come this far with this name it means something. it acompanied us for a long way it'll be silly to just change it.

maybe a name that would incorparate pcstats in the name but also have something to do with FAH. something like pcstats's dna sequencers
