resently my comp had been running at 60c and up during idle becuase it just sucking in the hot air comin off my videocard. so i plan to make a vent starting on the cpu fan, and then goes over an intake fan on the side of my case, now I need a few ideas on what to make the vent out of, i have a few ideas myself, but i dunno where i can get what i am looking for.
but if you have any ideas pls post em
if i find what i want at the hardware store tomorrow ill post some pic's of it and how much cooler it made my cpu

You could always just put a slot cooler in the 2nd PCI slot under the AGP slot. This would suck the hot air that comes off the GPU right out of the case. And, being as how your running a G4 MX I'd have to say that that video card isn't really making all that much heat and is not responsible for the high CPU temps you are getting.
is there no way that you can direct the hot air out your case using tubes and stuff???

Like Shiznit said, if you have an empty PCI slot under the VC, then you could pick up a slot fan ($10 or so USD) that should work quite well at venting the VCs hot air. No messing with creating unnecessary duct work and cramping the insides of that beautiful case you have. probably a better idea engineering wise as the fan on the VC blows towards the card and pushes air through the HS. Putting a homemade duct with a fan pulling air directly on top of this might actually hamper the HS ability to cool the GPU.
I think his problem can be solved with 2 more fans ..........modders corner :0

At least one more in the front to equalize the airflow(straight through) blowing out.

I've gotten mine to run around 30 c with the side of my case off try that maybe

i cut out all the metal around the 2 exhaust fans on the back, it droped my system temp down to 25c from 32c, and my cpu down to 53c from 61c

Dang, with that much of a change from such a simple mod, one would think there weren't even exhaust openings for them to blow through to begin with? LOL!
