Ok, I'm finished with this folding crap. I just won't leave my loud computers on to work on units for days and then not get counted. That just pissed the (@$@*$ out of me. I moved to distributed.net and will do stuff for them.

Have fun everyone.

Karateka

Maybe it's time for a new computer? They give points based on the time it takes for a PII 500 to complete one if I remember correctly. And that's without running any other processes while it was folding.

rithemking, in reply to your message, I was Folding on my P4 as well as dual P3 500. A unit usually takes around 3 days to finish on my dual P3 but one took almost 6 days and it did successfuly send to the server and wasn't counted. It's just too bad that the unit was one I really wanted to see points for because it took so long. It was basically a breaking point for me. hehe.
And no, my P3 wasn't used for anything else, just Folding 24/7.

Well, my cycles will not go wasted, I found another project.

Karateka

there is a few dc projects that the p4 is good at from what I hear the p4 does good at distributed folding or seventeen or bust and is the best for Gimps. I am running Operation Project X at the moment it's purpose is to crack the Xbox encyrption so it would be possible to install linux without using a mod chip. I'm not sure how the p4 would run on this project and stats servers hasn't been updating regularly but is getting better

give them some damn time! Just cause you finish a fold doesnt mean that there gonna jump to it to update the listings... I had one fold that took a few days to get put up, be patient

Once again, against my better judgement, I have to agree with poly....I have had at least one that I can think of that took several days to post...I had just written it off to the cause(because we are doing this for a good cause, and points don't really matter in the big picture anyway) when to my surpirse it showed up...It was like a bonus! So what I'm trying to say is, "be patient ", thank you for the quote poly...
