you need some special hardware tools like metal cutter. it involves quite amount of work. many case manufactures now sells individual window frame for their various module of cases. it might be easier for you to just do that.

you could do it with many tools lol

tin snips
metal nibblers
dremel
jig saw
saw zaw (i wouldnt recommend this )
plasma cutter
cutting torch (acetylene/oxygen)

theres more things you can use, but most people either use a dremel or jig saw .. and thats what i would recommend.

bios you could make your own case panel, but it will proberly get screwed up... why not just buy an existing case panel? much easier!

existing case panels are not very expensive from what I've seen. I just bought a dremel attachment running $16USD so I could mod my case at some later date (want to add a case fan to the top for exhausting accumulated hot air. Unless you want to do some custom designed thing (like GNXtreme's scorpion), go with pre-manufactured.

I used a dremel and jigsaw like PJ mentioned....it does take some time and patience, and maybe a little skill.

mrbios, a dremel is a small multi-tool that you can put different bits in, like a cutoff wheel for example to cut metal such as your case side.

cutting and sharpening are just too much work for me. i never liked woodshop work class back in high school.

You should be able to find a dremel at any hardware shop. Here in the US places like SEARS, Lowe's, Menard's, Home Depot, heck even WalMart and Target have a small section devoted to the Dremel and it's various attachments.Dremel home page has examples of the many uses that wonderful tool has.

Most of the time if they are not busy they'll be glad to cut it for you at no expense, but if its busy they may ask for a bit of $$$
