Haha..

NaSTy, first download CPU-Z it will tell you if you have a Palomino or T-Bred although I think you got a Pally because your default voltage is 1.75V. If you're having stability problems, try raising your voltage to say 1.85V. Don't worry you won't kill your processor.

To find out how many amps your 12V line has, take the side of your case off and look for the 12V line... It's difficult to explain but once you see it you should know what I'm talking about.

Guys I need ya help (please)
My computer is running really cool now so I'm trying to overclock.
I have an XP 2000+, Asus A7S333 mobo, 256 DDR PC2100.
I had it set at 12.5 x 140 (1750) and it was running fine.. then about an hour into a game my computer restarted. So I went into BIOS and it told me my computer hung coz the frequency was to high. But it was running fine for over an hour. And another thing there was absolutely no change in temp. What the hells going on?

What do you guyz think would be the best settings?

I've found that the SiS chipsets are very overclocker friendly. Are you running Asus probe?
Use that to keep track of your temp. in Windows. Put a finger on the North Bridge(the heat sink next to your CPU) to feel if it's hot or not. That could be over heating.

Does your system run ok when it's not overclocked?

<< Are you running Asus probe? >>

No but I'm downloading it now

<< Use that to keep track of your temp >>

I already have 2 LCD screens on the front of my case that monitor the temps

<< Does your system run ok when it's not overclocked? >>

Well I think it does.. Only takes 28 seconds from when I hit the power button to being fully booted up

NaSTy, your chip is a Palomino right? In general Palomino's do not overclock as well as T-Breds because of the larger manufacturing process. What voltage did you give your chip? What type of PSU are you using and how many amps can it deliver on the 12V line?

It's a 350watt PSU.

See I have noidea what I'm doing Can ya help me doc?

<< To find out how many amps your 12V line has, take the side of your case off and look for the 12V line... >>

NaSTy, Colin is talking about the sticker that should be on your PSU. It should list out the 12V 3.3V and 5V with a number and the letter A right next to each. This is the amps it can deliver at that voltage.

I'll have to let you guys know when I get home... Cheers!

If I'm reading it correctly - it can deliver 15amps. Is that any good?

Ok.. Yes I do have a Palomino is that bad?
When raising the voltage what does that do?
Will I be able to o/c my system?
questions question questions

When I had it set at 12.5 x 140 (1750) It knocked 5 seconds off the 1m SUPER PI test thing
Oh and in regards to the HS (North Bridge) next to the CPU -- Cold! (my finger is hotter)

NaSTy, the combination (Palomino, SiS, & PC2100) you have isn't very overclockable, but you can always make the attempt and let us know how it turned out.
