What are the minimum number of tests (or whatever you call them) you need to run in order to get a valid (?) score in 3DMark2001SE? I've been running all the tests (Car Chase, Dragothic, Lobby, Nature, Fill Rate, Polygon, Vertex Shading, Pixel Shading, Point Sprites...), but when I go to FutureMark comparison pages for some of you, you only have tests up to Nature completed. I'm asking because sometimes when I push the OC on my video card, it will run the tests up to Nature fine, but would crash to Windows at one of the other tests, especially the Polygon tests. I always thought that when that happened the OC was too high and the benchmark was invalid. Would a 3dMark benchmark be considered valid if I turned off all the other tests except the ones up to Nature? Would that make any difference in the actual way the benchmark is scored?

I usually just run the game tests. I don't know exactly what the definitions are for a "valid test"...

you should just leave all the settings to default to run the tests. if you haven't been able to submit the results after many tries. you should consider lowering your overclock to get stability. futuremark will not let you submit your result if there is any sort of instability during tests.

Only the 4 "game" tests are used to calculate the final score, so those are the minmum you need to run.

the 4 Game Tests, technically the first 7 tests must be run (the 7th test may be optional, depending on if you have a Direct X 8.0 capable Graphics Card).
