Old School Celerons

What's the most anyone has ever OCed an old school Celeron? I heard they were remarkable OCers.

they are?? Dam i have a celeron 1.0A ghz i got it a yr or 2 ago. Does anyone know how i can oc it?? My BIOS seems to be a Reatek one and it wont let me adjust anything.

lol with 128MB RAM?? (thats right, plain RAM) Besides, i dont have Windows XP and i dont know anybody who has it or i would bum it off them <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"><BR><BR>So a celeron can go in an 8RDA+ i thought it only took AMD chips??

LOL. My bad!!! I saw Celeron and was thinking Duron. Don't know WTH was going on there.....<BR>I read on another thread about some freaks (LOL) who overclocked a 500MHz Celeron to over 900MHz using ln and some other inert substance that remains liquid at very low temps. A bit more work than I want to put into something like this. LOL.

I think the old school Celeron your talkinga bout was the Celeron 300A. There were rumors of people doubling the clock speed. Imagine doing that with one of todays processors.

Yeah, your right Shiznit. It was around the 300 to 400mhz era. The Celerons run at 66mhz fsb and when pentium 2 mobos with 100/122(or something) fsb came out people just mad OCed Celerons. I was just wondering how far the piece of bliet could be taken.

My friend had his old ass celeron 300A oc-ed to 733mhz. It was a testing rig of his that he decided didn't need. The sys was stable (note the past tence).. now it's in a garbage can somewhere <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0"> Funny story.. he still has the same mobo with a P3 in it oc-ed from 800mhz to 1.2ghz stable... I keep telling him that he should spend the $500 and get a new mobo, ram, cpu, vid card.. but he won't... He even makes more money then me.. then again I live at home over the summer and am not currently buying a house.<BR><BR>-Will <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

The mobo that the celeron was in is actually compliable with P3?<BR><BR>and rithemking, where was that article about the 500mhz to 900mhz?
