If your looking for good nVidia boards make sure you go with the nForce 2 chipset. If your planning on overclocking, the Epox 8RDA+ is the champ.

Actually, from what I have read the Abit NF7 series is beating out the EPoX 8RDA. Unless you are talking about the second generation NForce@ revision. The latest EPoX is creaming the Abit, but I am not sure that board is on the market yet. The only one I know of that currently has onboard RAID is the NF7-S, and it is SATA RAID only. The Abit does come with one Serillel adaptor though, so if you don't have 2 SATA drives, you only have to buy one other adaptor. The NF7-S will run you about $120USD, but if you are going to be getting an NForce2 chipset for OCing, I recommend also picking up an extra BIOS chip (excaliberpc.com) because it isn't hard to render it unbootable. I just did Sunday night and I'm reading on how to reflash the corrupted chip right at this very moment.
Haven't ever heard anything good about Gigabyte when it comes to overclocking.
I hear good things about the Kingston HyperX series (highly recommended by Pimpin' Joe). I only have experience with Corsair and GEIL, but I'm not having any luck right now raising the PC3500 GEIL to run stable over 400FSB. Not sure yet what the culprit is. I suspect my PSU may be to blame for the whole corrupted BIOS bit because the Abit monitor was flashing all kinds of voltage warnings just before I had to shut it down (and couldn't restart it).

The Gigabyte dual BIOS is cool, but I have never read anything good about Gigabyte's overclockability.

I got rid of my Gigabyte (7VRXP) to my gf, because Gigabyte didn't want to put in dividers or something like that so you can't overclock the f#%$&@* thing.

So Gigajunk is out in my books.

The best socket A for your money would be the Epox 8rda+ very comparable to the nf7 tho, so either one should work. I'm quite happy with my system below (just put it together)

-Will.

You could always try the Soltek 75FRN2-L if you're on a tight budget, its a cheap nforce2 board that overclocks well. somebody around here has one, ask them if its worth it

My buddy was building some computers and he got a few of the soltek's with XP 1800's and was reaching 2400 speeds(fan cooled). I think those soltek's are going for like 130. Thats not too bad.
