I've been thinking of putting in a window on the top panel of the computer case, but I find on my 201C that the top panel is not removable (it doesn't use screws like other computer cases). Has anyone of you tried this mod? If so, how did you do it without removing the panel? Or is it just my model that doesn't have a removable top panel?

my ATC210's top panel is screwed on with a very weird looking shape screws. it's one of those star shape screws. check and see if yours haev it too. i was able to remove it to replace my top case fan.

Rivet's are cool until you have to take 'em out....just drill them out and replace them with screws or buy a rivet gun.

Your sh..... me? I am waiting on a 201B-SXT and a couple of reviews said the top comes off. Has anyone put their own fans in such as Thermaltake? Is it possible to mod the top and install a blower?

Cooler Master makes many different models. The 201B-SXT may be different from my 201C in terms of the top panel. As far as the top blowhole, my 201C came one already built into the top. The reason I want to add a window to the top is that I want to try modding an old HDD I got, but there's no point in doing it if I can't show it off in my case, you know? At this point, I'm kinda backing off the idea because I don't want to drill the rivets out (too messy) and I am not comfortable working on the top panel still attached to the computer frame.

I would never drill into the top of mine. It's painted with black auto paint. If I where to chip it, I'd be pretty pissed. I have yet to look to see if the top is screwed in there, or riveted on. I would not be willing to drill rivets out of my case....that's for sure. I guess I'm just a wimp who loves my Cooler Master too much. Maybe when I get my next one, I'll try moding this one.
