A little while ago, I was reading at Twistedmods.com about how to round you're cables by yourself. Well, I finally got around to it today, and here is the result.
Before:
After:
My Case (it was running at time of pic, but doesn't look like it eh?):I put my only intake fan over my northbridge so that it would stay a little cooler. Temps dropped 1 - 2C. Eventually I will get more fans, but not right now. My temps aren't that bad yet.
umm yeh....be nice if the pictures worked....instead of showing that tripod thing

I did that with my floppy drive ribbon. What I did was cut and ripped every third wire to the ends and after they were all separate I just taped them up. It looks alot better then before thats for sure. I just couldn't find the right ones in town that I wanted and haven't odered any yet. :/ So that will have to do for now. I guess

there working for me

You need another fan or 2 (one intake fan in front and another one in back exiting) keep that video card and hard drive cooler.....also your cd roms create alot of heat in the top...could cut a hole in top and add another fan

just a thought!

nice job on the round cables....might try colored tape next time!

I don't care about the colour of the tape. Black is fine by me. My VC doesn't get that hot at all, and I don't use my DVD or CD-RW tons. The side of my case is usally off all the time anyway.

That's one hell of a northbridge cooler

It does help a little, but not much cause the HS sucks, and the ambient temp is higher. Stupid summer. Plus we don't have central air at home, and my dad won't put the window A/C in my room. I just might have to move my comp downstairs where it is a little cooler.

There is no AC in my computer room either, and I don't feel like having my comp. in the bedroom because then what is the point of the "computer room." During July this room can get as warm as 85-90F. Gonna watch my system beg for mercy. Well, I doubt it will beg...probably just shut down.
just curious, how is that 80mm fan being held to blow at the northbridge? is it just sitting on your vid card?
That's pretty neat inside, except I agree, that you need at least another fan for exhaust....

Your system would be much cooler if you took that fan off the northbridge and used it as exhaust.

I leave the side off my case all the time. It actually doesn't run hot at all. According to MBM5, after 15 min of folding, my CPU temp is at 32 C and System Temp is at 29. There is a third sensor (don't know what it is) that is at 51 C. CPU temp is taken with Winbond 2 sensor, System with Winbond 3, and sensor three is Winbond 1. I know the CPU is right cause if I were to reboot right now, it would have the same temps. But I don't know what sensor 3 is. And yes, that 80 mm is resting on my VC. It's kinda convenient actually.
