<< Do you happen to know which version XP 2600 you have? Is it an AIUHB? ~Colin
No she's a Thoroughbred... Think I always get the wrong one ~Nasty >>

LMAO....an AIUHB is a T-Bred. Colin is refering the the stepping of the T-Bred. If you look at the actual processor it should be listed down by the "Made in ..." Label. What are the five letters there? That will give you an indication of when the processor was manufactured, and how fast you can expect it to get.
Oh Crap!! so i gota pull me computer apart again
I found out that it's ment to operate at 2083mhz and has 333mhz FSB.. Dose that help?

Am I misinformed? I thought all T-breds operate at 266 MHz. Aren't Bartons the only ones that operate at 333 MHz?

t-bred come in two standards. t-breds 2600+ and lower are 266 based while 2600+ and higher are 333 based. although, there are two differernt fsb modules for the 2600+. there is the 266 and 333. barton on the other hand come in 333 and 400 fsb.
