Epox Magic Screen

hey i was woundering for all those who use the 8RDA+ mobo's if they got there magic screen prog to work?? i installed it and when the prog starts up it says "cannot open file .SKINmagiclogo_link.bmp." then it opens the program like nothing went wrong. and when im in the program it doesnt work. any ideas?? anyon have this problem?

have it too and haven't gotten it to work. freezes on me part way through the process. i think that it's a beta software with allot of bugs. let me know if you find out what the deal is and i'll do the same your way.

I had the same problem as you guys too.

But then I found the key is to use the MS Paint in order to get it work.

So basically do this:

1. Make a 640x480 image in Photoshop

2. Click Image -> Mode -> Indexed Color -> 256 colors (windows system.)

3. CTRL+A -> CTRL+C

4. Open the MS Paint -> CTRL+V

5. Click MS Paint's File -> Save As... and set the filetype as 256 Color Bitmap .bmp

I made this image that way, and it works great :D

good info. i've moved on to a 64 rig now but still have the epox doing duty as a media center. got the magic to work but not doing anything like you mentioned. just worked when i tried it after having to do a reformat after a hard crash. thanks for laying down some info for those who might still have the problem though and WELCOME TO PCSTATS. hope you stay and enjoy yourself.
